Surgery Centers and Emergency Clinics are often renovations located in existing buildings such as medical offices, retail malls or commercial buildings. Upgrading non-healthcare spaces to surgical areas can be a challenge due to the added electrical, emergency power and HVAC requirements needed to meet healthcare codes. 

New HVAC equipment was installed for this ASC, including chilled water rooftop units. Careful design and specification of rooftop units is needed to minimize air stratification at the coil section. FD measured temperatures at the coil to develop a gradient across the coil face to assure proper blending and avoid HVAC system shutdowns.
